藥物用腎上腺素

藥物用腎上腺素（英語：Epinephrine, adrenalin 或 adrenaline），既是激素（腎上腺素），也是藥物[3][4]，其用途廣泛，囊括過敏性休克、心搏停止和皮膚表面出血[1]。使用Nebulizer 噴霧器（英语：Nebulizer）吸入腎上腺素有助於改善哮吼症狀[5]；若其他治療方式不見效，哮喘患者也可以施用腎上腺素[1]，採用吸入方式或經由靜脈、肌肉及簡單皮下注射皆可[1]。

腎上腺素通常由腎上腺和特定神經元所製造[3]；在戰鬥或逃跑反應中，佔有舉足輕重的地位，會增加肌肉中的血流，增高心臟血液輸出量及血糖量，也會使瞳孔擴張（英语：Pupil dilation）和[6][7]。上述效果是腎上腺素藉由影響腎上腺素受體的α、β 感受器所達成[7]，在許多動物及原生動物身上都可以發現同樣的效應[8][9]。

1901年，高峰讓吉首度分離出腎上腺素，1905年，它就被用作醫藥用途[10][11]。腎上腺素是一種通用名藥物[1]，收錄在世界衛生組織基本藥物標準清單裡，是醫療系統安全有效的必需藥物之一[12]。在發展中國家，一劑的批發價約在 0.10 美元到 0.95 美元之譜[13]；2016 年，常用於治療過敏性休克的腎上腺素注射筆在美國售價約為兩支 600 美元，而通用版本大約為兩支 140 美元[14]。該年，腎上腺素在美國常見處方藥中排行第 253 名，總計超過一百萬張處方開有此藥[15]。
