绿宝石鹦鹉
绿宝石鹦鹉（學名：Neophema pulchella，英語：Turquoise Parrot，台湾作青綠鸚鵡），是鸚形目舊世界鸚鵡科紐費瑪鸚鵡屬下的一種鳥類。[3]這個物種分佈於澳洲東南部，開闊森林、林地到天然草地間的過渡帶是其最偏好的環境。[4][5]因其擁有廣大的分佈範圍及數量可能正在增加，目前物種狀態被劃為無危。[1][4]

該物種由英國鳥類學家乔治·肖於1792年以Psittacus pulchellus的名稱描述，歸於當時的非洲灰鸚鵡屬下。[7]1891年，義大利鳥類學家托馬索·薩爾瓦多里將其歸類至新建的紐費瑪鸚鵡屬下，並將其作為該屬的模式種。[3][8][9]其屬名Neophema由古希臘語的νέος（羅馬化：neos，意指「新的、不同的」）及德國鳥類學家约翰·格奥尔格·瓦格勒於1832年建立的Euphema屬組成。[10]:268[註 1]種小名pulchella來自拉丁語pulchellus，意為「非常漂亮的」。[10]:324
青綠鸚鵡體長約20公分，體重約37—44公克。[5]成鳥具有明亮的草綠色上半身，其中雄鳥臉部為藍色，在肩膀處有額外的紅色羽毛，而雌鳥和幼鳥則無。[11]喉部以下多為黃色或略帶橙色，主覆羽和初級飛羽為深藍色。尾部以綠色為主，末端較深，兩側邊緣為黃色。[5]其鳥喙寬平均約7.3公釐、深平均約13.0公釐、嘴峰長平均約13.1公釐；翼長平均約108.6公釐；跗蹠約14.0公釐；尾長約98.2公釐。[12]
這個物種主要以種子、花朵和水果為食。[5]牠們是相當社交的鳥類，常常成群出現，也不乏存在群體的棲息地。[13]其繁殖季位於8月—12月之間，築巢於樹洞、樹樁、柵欄柱或倒下的樹幹中。[5]每窩產2—6枚卵，20天後孵化，4週離巢，有時候也有一年做兩次繁殖的情況。[5][13]
目前該物種於2000年時估計約有2萬隻個體。[4]青綠鸚鵡目前已經適應了新的食物來源，被懷疑數量正在增加。[4]《國際自然保護聯盟瀕危物種紅色名錄》中因其龐大的分佈範圍及疑似正在增加的趨勢，將紅腰鸚鵡列為無危物種。[1][4]
