紐費瑪鸚鵡屬
橙腹鹦鹉属（學名：Neophema，台湾作紐費瑪鸚鵡屬）是鸚形目舊世界鸚鵡科下的一個屬。[2]本屬為體型較小的鸚鵡，棲息於澳洲的熱帶草原、低矮灌木地、草地等草原地形，在作為寵物飼養時常俗稱為「小草鸚鵡」。[3][4]
命名歷史 编辑
本屬首見於義大利鳥類學家托馬索·薩爾瓦多里在1891年出版的英國自然歷史博物館鳥類名錄描述。[5]其模式種為建立該屬當下指定的绿宝石鹦鹉。[1]其屬名Neophema由古希臘語的νέος（羅馬化：neos，意指「新的、不同的」）及德國鳥類學家约翰·格奥尔格·瓦格勒於1832年建立的Euphema屬組成。[6][註 1]
分類學 编辑
生物分類學中，本屬原為澳洲草原鸚鵡族的一員，後於1975年漢斯·埃德蒙·沃爾特斯的名錄中與伯基氏鸚鵡屬被一同歸類至新的「紐費瑪鸚鵡族」（Neophemini）下。[8]:283[9]2011年，研究顯示實際上本屬與地棲鸚鵡屬關係較近，並建議將該屬與紐費瑪鸚鵡族合併。[10][11][12]因此現被歸類於澳洲草原鸚鵡亞科地棲鸚鵡族下。[12]
伯基氏鸚鵡屬的鳥類曾為本屬的一員，但現作為本屬的姐妹群存在。[13]再加上更外群的地棲鸚鵡屬，構成整個地棲鸚鵡族。[7][12]有些研究會將紐費瑪鸚鵡屬下再細分為兩個亞屬，分別是以红胁鹦鹉及绿宝石鹦鹉構成的Neophema亞屬；及其他四個物種組成的Neonanodes亞屬，兩者約在300—400萬年前分化。[13]
形態特徵 编辑
這些鸚鵡均為身形小巧的綠色鸚鵡，尾巴較長，外側的尾羽則多呈黃色。[3]其中Neophema亞屬的鳥類臉頰為藍色，雄鳥會有額外的藍色羽毛，雌雄異形。[3]Neonanodes亞屬的鳥類並不具有紅色羽毛，雌雄也沒有差異。[3]
習性 编辑
本屬物種多於地面覓食，以種子為主。[3][8]:290牠們是社交性的鳥類，常成小群活動，有時也可見群體繁殖的情況。[3][8]:288
保護情況 编辑
該屬鸚鵡均受《瀕危野生動植物種國際貿易公約》所保護，除了橙腹鸚鵡被列於附錄一之外，其餘物種均列於附錄二內。[14]橙腹鸚鵡在野外的族群因遭到棲地損失、碎片化、退化及火災的影響，於2017年時僅在唯一已知的棲息地中餘下12隻雄鳥和2隻雌鳥。[15]1986年以來，就已進行相關繁殖計畫，並已在各地的繁殖中心中繁殖了逾300隻個體。[15]
與人類的關係 编辑
本屬鳥類常作為寵物飼養，其中红胁鹦鹉（俗稱「光輝鸚鵡」）、绿宝石鹦鹉（俗稱「桔梗鸚鵡」）連同分類關係親近的伯基氏鸚鵡（俗稱「秋草鸚鵡」）是當中最常被飼養的種類。[4]
