川東虛骨龍屬

川東虛骨龍屬（屬名：Chuandongocoelurus）是一屬來自侏儸紀時期中國的肉食性獸腳亞目堅尾龍類恐龍。

川東虛骨龍的復原圖

模式種原始川東虛骨龍（Chuandongocoelurus primitivus）是由中國古生物學家何信祿於1984年首次描述及命名。屬名由意指四川東部的「川東」加上虛骨龍屬（希臘文κοῖλος, koilos「中空」＋οὐρά, oura「尾巴」）所組成。種名為拉丁文「原始的」之意，代表其發現地層年代的古老。^[1]

何將兩具部分骨骼歸入本屬。正模標本包含一個股骨，與其他、脊椎、骨盆和後肢材料一同被歸入編號CCG 20010底下，可能都是來自同一個體。標本的脊椎具有未癒合的中央縫線，代表這隻動物死亡時還是未成熟個體。化石出土於下沙溪廟組，年代為侏儸紀中期巴柔階至卡洛維階。第二件標本編號CCG 20011是來自一個較大個體的一系列頸椎。^[1]2012年得出一項結論表示這兩件標本分別代表不同物種，甚至彼此沒有接近親緣關係。CCG 20011反而被發現與角鼻龍類的輕巧龍有相似性。^[2]

分類

何將川東虛骨龍放置在虛骨龍科，^[1]當時這裡是一個棄置分類群（英语：Wastebasket taxon），幾乎包含了所有無法歸類的小型獸腳類。^[3]較近期的Roger Benson（2008, 2010）及Benson等人（2010）發現川東虛骨龍是單脊龍的姊妹分類單元，牠們一同組成一個演化支，可能屬於斑龍超科^[4][5]或斑龍超科之外的堅尾龍類。^[6]Matthew Carrano等人（2012）發現川東虛骨龍位於斑龍超科之外。^[2]
