聲調修飾符號
声调修饰符号是一个位于基本多文種平面的Unicode區塊，收錄了漢語、奇南特克諸語言及某些非洲語言的声调转写標記[3]。本區塊并不包括国际音标内的聲調符號，其編碼于佔位修飾符號區塊內。

漢語言學界根据四角標圈法，使用⟨꜀◌ ꜁◌ ꜂◌ ꜃◌ ◌꜄ ◌꜅ ◌꜆ ◌꜇⟩8個符號來标注聲調。聲調符號⟨꜈ ꜉ ꜊ ꜋ ꜌⟩用来标注轻声，而它的反轉形式⟨꜍ ꜎ ꜏ ꜐ ꜑⟩和⟨꜒ ꜓ ꜔ ꜕ ꜖⟩则用于标记变调；五度标记法使用的聲調符號⟨˥ ˦ ˧ ˨ ˩⟩则置于佔位修飾符號區塊内。奧蘇馬辛奇南特克語使用⟨◌ꜗ ◌ꜘ ◌ꜙ ◌ꜚ⟩4個符號標註聲調[4]。国际音标使用⟨ꜛ ꜜ⟩分别标注音位升阶及音位降階，在国际音标字体仍不受支援前，存在使用⟨ꜝ ꜞ ꜟ⟩替代的情況[5]。
