《星条旗永不落》（英語：The Stars and Stripes Forever），或翻译成《永遠的星條旗》、《星條旗頌》，是美国作曲家約翰·菲利普·蘇沙（John Philip Sousa）的代表作，美国著名爱国进行曲。根据1987年的美国国家法令（The United States Code），《星条旗永不落》为美国國家进行曲（The National March of The United States）。

在中國和中文圈裡，此歌常常与美国国歌《星条旗》因譯名相近和知名度等因而將其混淆。

历史

1928年，蘇薩在他的自傳《一路行進》（Marching Along）中寫道，這首歌是在1896年的聖誕節創作的。當時的他與妻子剛結束在歐洲的旅遊，他們倆在一艘遠航的渡輪上，正在前往歸途。途中，聽說蘇薩樂隊（Sousa's band）的支持者大衛·布萊克利（David Blackely）逝世的消息，他在腦海中譜寫了該曲曲調，並在回家後將該曲記在紙上^[1]。隔年的5月14日，該曲在費城郊外的柳樹林公園（英语：Willow Grove Park）中首次演出，當即就受到了熱烈的歡迎^[2]。

1987年國會通過法案後，該曲被採為美國國家進行曲^[3]。

音乐

《星条旗永不落》遵循了美国军队进行曲（英语：American march music#Military march form）的普遍风格——即在樂曲的部分中反复演奏不同的旋律。但是蘇薩在演奏排序和節奏方面會有所不同。

解析

進行曲前奏以四個小節的介紹開始，然後是重複的第一樂章，之後又有一個重複的第二樂章。若是樂隊在遊行中演奏該曲，則會讓兩者都重複兩次（又或是加入重複的三重奏）。現在三重奏的第一彈有個人人都熟悉的兒歌，也就是該曲的戲仿歌曲（英语：The Stars and Stripes Forever#Parody lyrics），即“善待你的蹼足朋友”（Be kind to your web-footed friends）的曲子^{[註 1]}。在這個部分中，歌詞已被更改。後來，這個部分被視為小型的可省略伴奏（英语：Obbligato）（Obbligato（意大利文））而重複了一遍。

• 此歌通常在美国总统的公开演讲之后，或出席活动、纪念仪式等场合演奏。而另一首进行曲《向统帅致敬》，则一般在介绍总统时演奏。
• 1972年，美国总统尼克松访华，期间军乐团演奏的即为《星条旗永不落》。导致美国国歌《星条旗》（The Star-Spangled Banner）被错误地认为是《星条旗永不落》，此说法流传甚广，因此许多民众误以为此即美国国歌，甚至中华人民共和国官方媒体新华网上关于美国国歌的介绍也将两首歌曲的译名混淆^[4]。混淆更为主要的原因是美国国家法令（The United States Code）170条规定《星条旗》（The Star-Spangled Banner）为美国国歌（National Anthem），188条规定《星条旗永不落》为美国國家进行曲（National March），與中华人民共和国國內被宣傳的情形有別。
