十足目

十足目（学名：Decapoda）又名十腳目，是节肢动物软甲纲的一目。体分头胸部及腹部。胸肢有八对，前三对形成颚足帮助进食，后五对变成步足（共十足，即其名来源）。然而，很多十足目生物都具有一对放大形似钳子的前腿，被称为螯足。十足目下据估计[1]有包含在2700个属中的15,000个种，其中3,300个种是以化石形态出现的。十足目中多数为食腐动物。其中抱卵亚目包括各种虾类、寄居蟹类、蟹类，多数可供食用，是经济意义最大的一类节肢动物。

分類

現時十足目主要可以分為枝鰓亞目（Dendrobranchiata）及抱卵亞目（Pleocyemata）兩大類。但在1960年代之前，本目物種按其生活環境而分為游泳亞目及爬行亞目兩大類。這種分類現今已廢棄。
