鳥翼鳳蝶屬

鳥翼鳳蝶屬（學名：Ornithoptera）是鳳蝶亞科裳鳳蝶族中的一個屬，包含了14個物種。此屬包含了全球體型最大的蝴蝶物種——亞歷山大鳥翼鳳蝶（O. alexandrae）和歌利亞鳥翼鳳蝶（O. goliath），展翅寬達280毫米。飛行能力強^[2][3]，幼蟲的寄主為有毒的馬兜鈴科擬馬兜鈴屬（英语：Pararistolochia）（Pararistolochia）植物^[1]。

分佈

分佈於大平洋美拉尼西亞，即新畿內亞島、所羅門群島及澳洲約克角半島一帶，主要分佈在里德克線（Lydekker's Line）以西區域^[1]。

保護

所有物種都被列入國際貿易公約（CITES）II 級瀕危野生動物，亞歷山大鳥翼鳳蝶更列入 I 級瀕危野生動物；8個物種列入國際自然保護聯盟瀕危物種紅色名錄（IUCN），包括：

種系發生

上級分類

鳥翼鳳蝶屬屬於裳鳳蝶族中，裳鳳蝶亞族中，澳新界種系（又總稱作「鳥翼蝶」）中的一個屬級演化支。是裳鳳蝶屬演化支的姐妹群，這兩個屬的共同演化支為紅頸鳳蝶屬的姐妹群^[12]。
