紅腰鸚鵡
紅腰鸚鵡（學名：Psephotus haematonotus，英語：Red-rumped parrot），是鸚形目舊世界鸚鵡科紅腰鸚鵡屬下的唯一一種鳥類。[3]這個物種僅分佈於澳洲的開闊地帶。[4]因其擁有廣大的分佈範圍及數量可能正在增加，目前物種狀態被劃為無危。[1][5]

該物種由英國鳥類學家約翰·古爾德於1838年以Platycercus haematonotus的名稱描述，歸於玫瑰鸚鵡屬下。[6]1845年，古爾德將其歸類至一個新屬下，並將其作為該屬的模式種。[3][7]其屬名Psephotus原意在形容這個物種在肩、臀上的斑點與鑲嵌藝術的石頭或寶石類似。[8]:319而種小名haematonotus則由古希臘語的αἷμᾰ（羅馬化：haima，意指「血」）及-νότος（羅馬化：-nōtos ，意指「背後的」）組成。[8]:184
紅腰鸚鵡屬下原有其他包含金肩鹦鹉等其他物種，但2011年起有研究指出該屬為多系群，因此本屬在被拆分後僅餘下紅腰鸚鵡，成為了單型屬。[3][10][11]目前紅腰鸚鵡有兩個亞種，兩者差異在於羽毛的顏色有所不同，其中指名亞種分佈於東南澳洲內陸；而P. h. caeruleus則分佈於西南澳洲一側，其顏色較前者為黯淡。[3][4]
紅腰鸚鵡體長約27公分，體重約54—70公克。[12]成年雄鳥的上半身為亮綠色、腹黃、臀部紅色，尾下覆羽為白色；雌鳥上半身則以橄欖色系為主，臀部綠色，尾下覆羽為淡藍色；幼鳥與成鳥相似，但色彩較黯淡。[4]其鳥喙寬平均約8.2公釐、深平均約14.0公釐、嘴峰長平均約15.5公釐；翼長平均約128.6公釐；跗蹠約15.8公釐；尾長約151.0公釐。[13]
這個物種生存於開闊林地、熱帶草原等環境中，是一種留鳥。[12]牠們為植食性，以植物、種子、果實和花朵為食。[12][13]其繁殖期在8月—隔年1月，會在樹木的空洞或洞穴中築巢，也可以在人工環境中築巢，並可能有集體繁殖的現象。每次產4—8枚卵、19天後孵化，雛鳥約4週可離巢。[12]
目前該物種雖然數量並未被量化，但據信數量豐富，2021年的模型預測中粗估約有約613萬隻個體。[5][14]且紅腰鸚鵡正可能因其合適棲地為較為退化的環境，可從棲息地退化的情況下從中得益。[5]《國際自然保護聯盟瀕危物種紅色名錄》中因其龐大的分佈範圍及疑似正在增加的趨勢，將紅腰鸚鵡列為無危物種。
