奥伯特陨石坑

奥伯特陨石坑（Oberth）是位于月球背面北半部一座古老的大撞击坑，约形成于39.2-38.5亿年前的酒海纪[1]，其名称取自德国物理学家和火箭先驱，工程师赫尔曼·奥伯特（1894年－1989年），1997年被国际天文学联合会批准接受。

该陨坑西北毗邻伽莫夫环形山、北面靠近谢尔勒鲁普环形山、阿伏伽德罗环形山位于它的东面、东南和西南分别坐落了山本一清环形山和斯特默环形山[3]。该陨坑中心月面坐标为62°29′N 154°50′E / 62.49°N 154.84°E / 62.49; 154.84，直径49.5公里[4]，深度约2.7公里[1]。

奥伯特陨石坑略呈卵形状，西北-东南向稍长，东北和南部延伸出一些小山脊。坑壁略有磨损和侵蚀，北侧壁连接了一对小坑状的洼地区。陨坑内侧壁宽窄不等，其中：北侧部分狭窄陡峭，而西南和东南侧可见到有阶地状结构的残迹。坑壁高出周边地形1210米[1]，内部容积约有3050立方千米[1]。碗状的坑底相对平坦，表面显示有一些小陨坑，中心点以北坐落了一座小山丘。
