卡恰尔斯基陨石坑

卡恰尔斯基陨石坑（Katchalsky）是靠近月球背面赤道区的一座撞击坑，约形成于38-32亿年前的晚雨海世[1]， 其名称取自以色列生物学先驱阿哈隆·卡齐尔-卡恰尔斯基（1914年-1972年），1973年被国际天文学联合会正式接受。

描述

该陨坑西北西北和北面分别毗邻宾厄姆陨石坑和盖奥特环形山、东面坐落了伊本·弗纳斯环形山和金环形山，略小的维维亚尼陨石坑靠近它的东南、西南则横亘了菲尔索夫环形山。在卡恰尔斯基陨石坑、维维亚尼陨石坑和菲尔索夫环形山围成的西南三角区中间分布有一处类似赖纳尔伽玛的高反照率结构[2]。该陨坑中心月面坐标为5°55′N 116°04′E / 5.91°N 116.07°E / 5.91; 116.07，直径32.30公里[3]，深约2.06公里[1]。

卡恰尔斯基陨石坑外观轮廓不太圆整，北面和东侧南侧向外凸出，东北侧坑壁略显扁平，但环边缘未受到明显的侵蚀。该陨坑坑壁最大高出周边地形940米[1]，内部容积约有729.18立方千米[1]，坑底表面崎岖不平，散布有一些细小的撞击坑和一座中央峰。
