Born of Osiris

Born of Osiris是來自美國伊利諾州芝加哥的金屬樂團，成立於2003年。樂團名字經過幾次變動，包括Diminished（2003–2004年）、Your Heart Engraved（2004–2006年）以及Rosecrance（2006–2007年），2007年定為目前的名字^[1]。團名的靈感來自於埃及神話中，冥王歐西里斯的兒子荷魯斯的故事^[2]。

歷史

2003年成立於芝加哥郊區，起先為一支金屬核樂團，同地區的其他金屬核樂團包括Veil of Maya（英语：Veil of Maya）、Monsters、Oceano（英语：Oceano (band)）以及For All I Am。

2007年，樂團與Sumerian Records簽約。2009年7月7日，發行首張專輯《A Higher Place（英语：A Higher Place）》^[3]，登上告示牌200大專輯榜第73名^[4]。之後樂團活躍於各個音樂節中，例如The Summer Slaughter Tour（英语：The Summer Slaughter Tour）（2008年、2009年和2015年）和Music as a Weapon IV (2009)（英语：Music as a Weapon）。2009年，樂團與Hatebreed（英语：Hatebreed）、All Shall Perish（英语：All Shall Perish）、After the Burial、Caliban（英语：Caliban (band)）和Suffokate在全美展開共同巡演^[5]。同年12月，All Shall Perish的吉他手Jason Richardson加入樂團，開始創作並錄製新專輯。

2013年6月25日，Sumerian Records在YouTube頻道上傳單曲〈MΔchine〉的音樂影片。8月20日，發行第三張專輯《Tomorrow We Die ∆live（英语：Tomorrow We Die Alive）》，登上告示牌200大專輯榜第27名^[7]。之後樂團展開北美巡迴，參加Rockstar Mayhem Festival（英语：Mayhem Festival）。與Asking Alexandria、August Burns Red（英语：August Burns Red）、Crown the Empire（英语：Crown the Empire）與We Came as Romans共同巡演。也參加了Warped巡迴等各種音樂活動。

2015年8月，參加The Summer Slaughter Tour（英语：The Summer Slaughter Tour），與Arch Enemy同台。9月，赴俄羅斯演出。10月23日，發行第四張專輯《Soul Sphere（英语：Soul Sphere）》^[8]，登上告示牌200大專輯榜第67名^[9]。

音樂風格

樂團的曲風通常被歸類為金屬核、技術死亡核、前衛死亡核、結構金屬（英语：Djent）、數學金屬（英语：Math metal）和前衛金屬。他們的音樂受到Meshuggah、Cannibal Corpse（英语：Cannibal Corpse）、Converge（英语：Converge (band)）、Hatebreed（英语：Hatebreed）、Slayer和The Mars Volta的影響^[10]。
