2016年英國保守黨黨魁選舉
2016年英國保守黨黨魁選舉（英語：2016 Conservative Party leadership election）緣由於2016年6月23日舉行的2016年英國脫離歐盟公投以「脫離歐盟」作結果，時任黨魁及英國首相戴维·卡梅伦其後宣布於2016年10月（或更早，若新黨魁在一個較早的日期當選）辭職所引發[6]，選舉原定在2016年9月9日舉行[7]。

由於保守黨現時是英國下議院的多數黨，因此獲勝者將幾乎肯定擔任首相[8]，並出任此職至不遲於2020年5月7日舉行之下次大選，除非下議院在2011年國會固定任期法案下投票通過決定提早解散國會或國會廢除上述法律[9]。
大多數政治分析家對高文浩撤回支持鲍里斯·约翰逊參選保守黨黨魁，並在無任何事前通知前於6月30日提名自己出選而感到驚訝。隨後，於黨魁提名結束前幾分鐘，鲍里斯·约翰逊宣布不打算參選[10]，雖然他在多數政治分析中持領先地位[11]。

選舉結果
首輪國會議員投票在7月5日舉行，下午6時30分由1922年委員會主席格拉漢姆·布萊迪公布結果。
文翠珊排名第一，遠遠領先最接近的競爭對手利雅華，而排第五遭淘汰的霍理林與退選的郝智恆均改為支持文翠珊。高文浩、利雅華和文翠珊進入7月7日的次輪投票[58]。文翠珊再次以高票數排名第一，利雅華擊敗高文浩，成為進入黨員投票的兩名候選人，結果在9月9日公布。然而，2016年7月11日利雅華決定退選，令文翠珊成為唯一候選人，1922年委員會主席格拉漢姆·布萊迪宣布只要文翠珊經保守黨委員會確認，就會自動當選保守黨黨魁[59]。
