鬼鴞屬（學名：Aegolius）是鴞形目鴟鴞科下的一個屬。[2]

命名與分類學 编辑

該屬由德國自然學家約翰·雅各布·考普（英语：約翰·雅各布·考普）於1829年建立，並指定其模式種為Strix tengmalmi。[3]該名稱現為鬼鴞之異名。[4]其屬名Aegolius來自拉丁語的同名詞，指鳴角鴞，該詞來自希臘語中一種報凶兆的鳥類。[5]

在分類學上，本屬隸屬於鴟鴞科下，與鵂鶹屬及小鴞屬等屬形成的分支為姊妹群。[2]有學者提議將其歸入Surniinae亞科的單型族Aegolini族內。[7]在屬內的關係中，无斑棕榈鬼鸮被部分著作認為與棕榈鬼鸮形成超種而不算是一個物種。[8][9]而百慕大棕榈鬼鸮似乎自公元1600年後就已絕滅。[10]
