Rivularia , a genus of cyanobacteria associated with 石灰華 . 描述 编辑 膠鬚藻屬物種生長在水下的石頭、潮濕的岩石和靠近河邊的潮濕土壤之上。它存在於菌落中，毛状体 （trichomes ）在菌落內呈放射狀排列，每個毛狀體全部或部分被凝膠狀薄片包圍。毛狀體有一個基底異囊 basal heterocyst ）。每個毛狀體都有一個狹窄的頂端部分，呈鞭狀或尾狀，由一排小細胞組成。
膠鬚藻屬物種並沒有厚壁孢子 [4] 藻殖段 hormogonia ；亦作段殖體）[5]
