早年生活

瑪姬·史密斯在1934年於英格蘭埃塞克斯郡伊爾福德區（英语：Municipal Borough of Ilford）出生。她母親瑪格麗特·赫頓·利特爾（Margaret Hutton Little）在蘇格蘭格拉斯哥出生，任職秘書；父親納撒尼爾·史密斯（Nathaniel Smith）在泰恩-威爾郡紐卡素出生，在牛津大學任職病理學者^[1][2][3][4]，雙胞胎哥哥分別叫阿利斯泰爾（Alistair）和伊恩（Ian）。她在牛津高中（Oxford High School）讀中學。

瑪姬·史密斯與羅伯特·斯蒂芬斯（Robert Stephens）在1967年結婚，在1974年離婚；在1975年與貝弗利·克羅斯（Beverley Cross）結婚。克羅斯在1998年逝世。
