麦克卢尔陨石坑

麦克卢尔陨石坑(McClure)是月球正面位于丰富海西南岸的一座大撞击坑 其名称取自英国极地探险家罗伯特·麦克卢尔（英语：Robert McClure）爵士(Robert McClure，1807年-1873年)，1935年被国际天文学联合会批准接受。

麦克卢尔陨石坑的周边，月球勘测轨道飞行器拍摄。

该陨坑西侧毗邻哥伦布环形山；西北靠近贝洛陨石坑；克罗兹陨石坑位于它的北面；东侧则是文德利努斯环形山；而它的南面和西南分别为毕奥陨坑和库克陨石坑。麦克卢尔陨石坑的西面绵延着巍峨的比利牛斯山脉，后面则是酒海[1]。该环形山的中心月面坐标为15°19′S 50°14′E / 15.32°S 50.24°E / -15.32; 50.24，直径24.0公里[2]，深度约1.18公里[3]。

麦克卢尔陨石坑外观接近圆形，东北侧略微内缩，坑壁边缘清晰、内侧壁光滑，未受到明显的侵蚀和磨损，西北侧外壁坐落在卫星坑"麦克卢尔 C"之上。麦克卢尔陨坑的坑壁平均高出周边地形820米[4]，内部容积约为330公里³[4]。碗状的坑底凹凸不平，北部和西部分布着一些小山脉。一些资料反映，该陨坑的中央山高达700米左右[5]。
