阿贝环形山

阿贝环形山（Abbe）是位于月球背面南半部的一座大撞击坑，约形成于39.2-38.5亿年前的酒海纪[1]，其名称取自德国著名物理学家恩斯特·阿贝（1840年-1905年），1970年被国际天文学联合会批准接受。

该陨坑位于南部高地上，北面毗邻赫斯环形山和波义耳环形山、西侧坐落了巨大的庞加莱环形山，较小的哈雷特陨石坑和已损毁的卡巴纳环形山则位于它的东南面[2]。该陨坑中心月面坐标为57°35′S 174°46′E / 57.58°S 174.77°E / -57.58; 174.77，直径63.98公里[3]，深度约2.73公里[1]。

阿贝环形山的坑壁侵蚀，沿西北和西南侧壁各覆盖了一座小撞击坑。坑壁最大高出周边地形1240米[1]，内部容积约3536公里3[1]。坑内地表相对平坦，仅散布有一些细小的坑穴。从该环形山的东侧壁向东北延伸出一道浅谷，其被非正式地称为"阿贝月谷"。
