赫维西环形山

赫维西环形山（Hevesy）是位于月球背面北极附近的一座大撞击坑，其名称取匈牙利化学家，1943年诺贝尔化学奖获奖者乔治·德·赫维西（1885年－1966年），2009年1月22日被国际天文学联合会正式接受[1]。

描述

该陨坑西北靠近较小的博施陨石坑、东北毗邻古老的罗日杰斯特文斯基环形山，它的东面和西南则分别坐落了较大的普拉斯基特环形山和古老的哈斯金环形山[2]。该陨坑中心月面坐标为83°05′N 149°09′E / 83.09°N 149.15°E / 83.09; 149.15，直径49.99公里[3]，深约2.35公里[4]。

赫维西环形山坐落在一座大小相近的无名坑东半部上，外观轮廓大体圆状，整体磨损较为明显，环坑壁覆盖有许多细小的撞击坑。它的北侧壁与卫星坑罗日杰斯特文斯基 U相接壤，而西侧坑壁基本已损毁消失。该环形山最高的东侧壁部分高出周边地形1120米[4]，内部容积约1999.85立方千米[4]，坑底表面相对平整，散布有一些细小的陨石坑。
