Gembloux 让布卢是比利时那慕爾省的自治市

讓布盧戰役^[4]（法語：Bataille de Gembloux）或稱讓布盧缺口戰役是第二次世界大戰西方战线的一場戰役。1940年5月10日，納粹德國陸軍根據鐮刀收割計劃（或稱曼施坦因計畫）入侵盧森堡、荷蘭和比利時。盟軍以戴爾計劃作為回應，志在阻止德軍在比利時的進攻，並且認為此地為德軍主攻方向。5 月10日，盟軍竭盡全力向比利時挺進，5月12日，德軍開始了鐮刀收割的第二部分，即從阿登地區推進，到達英吉利海峽並切斷在比利時的盟軍部隊。

法軍不知道德軍入侵低地地區是一個誘餌，並打算在阿尼和讓布盧設置兩個防禦陣地阻止德軍繼續向比利時中部和法國推進。其中盟軍最強大的部隊法國第一軍團，負責保衛讓布盧和瓦弗爾區域。法國將軍勒內·普利歐（英语：René Prioux）的騎兵軍團（英语：Cavalry Corps (France)）推進至阿尼，必通過延緩德軍的進攻讓法國第一軍團其餘部隊得以在讓布盧部署。

在阿尼戰役勝利後，法軍戰略性撤退至讓布盧，此地為法軍在比利時前線的主要防禦陣地。在兩天中，法軍數次擊敗了德國第六軍團的襲擊。但德軍意外的突襲阿登山脈並在色當渡過默茲河，迫使第一軍團從讓布盧撤退至里爾。這次撤退破壞了盟軍在比利時中部的防禦，讓德軍成功佔領了比利時中部。最終撤退至里爾的法國第一軍團在里爾圍城戰中奮勇抵抗，成功使盟軍在敦刻尔克大撤退多撤出至少十萬人。^[5]

It is true that the Allied high command proved unable in the days following to use the corps de bataille to restore the Allied front.
