西亞美尼亞語
西亞美尼亞語（古典亚美尼亚正字法：արեւմտահայերէն，轉寫：arevmdahayerēn）[2]屬於印欧语系，是亚美尼亚语的两种标准语之一，另一种是東亚美尼亚语。西亞美尼亞語主要基于伊斯坦布尔方言，而东亚美尼亚語则主要基于埃里温方言。

直到20世纪初，奥斯曼帝国境內依舊有人使用西亚美尼亚語，特别是西亞美尼亞地区。當時大部分亞美尼亞裔土耳其人將西亚美尼亚語作為主要使用的語言。西亚美尼亚語隨著亚美尼亚种族大屠杀而導致使用人口大為縮減。而逃到亚美尼亚的亞美尼亞裔土耳其人則使用东亚美尼亚语。而目前赫姆辛人、[3]叙利亚拉塔基亚、吉斯尔舒古尔和凯萨布、黎巴嫩安杰尔和土耳其Vakıflı, Samandağ等地方和民族依舊在使用西亚美尼亚語。
亚美尼亚北部久姆里、Akhuryan、Artik和希拉克省的130个村庄[4]以及格魯吉亞的阿哈爾卡拉基和阿哈爾齊赫也有数十万人口使用西亞美尼亞語。[5]
在土耳其，只有一小部分亞美尼亞裔土耳其人將西亚美尼亚語作為第一語言。[6]
由於亞美尼亞大屠殺以及其他歷史原因，西亚美尼亚语目前主要是一种散居語言，也沒有國家將其列為官方语言，因此西亞美尼亞語使用者面臨著被东道国主要語言同化的压力並面臨瀕危狀態。据估计，亚美尼亚和格鲁吉亚以外的能流利使用西亚美尼亚语的人数不到一百万。
2009年2月21日，當天是国际母语日，联合国教科文组织出版了新版《世界濒危语言地图集》，其中土耳其的西亚美尼亚语被定义为瀕危語言。[7][8]
