索（英文：funiculus）是指一小撮神经纤维（轴突），较大的神经可包含数个神经束（一条神经束可包含数个索），也可只含一个索[1]。神经束的外部由神经束膜保护，内部的神经内膜隔开各个索，而一条神经外表面由神经外膜覆盖[2]。
