瓦沙基泽陨石坑

瓦沙基泽陨石坑（Vashakidze）是位于月球背面的一座撞击坑，约形成于38-32亿年前的晚雨海世[1]，其名称取自前苏联及格鲁吉亚天文学家"米哈伊尔·亚历山德罗维奇·瓦沙基泽"(Mikhail Alexandrovich Vashakidze，1909年-1956年)，1970年被国际天文学联合会正式批准接受。

该陨坑西北毗邻刘易斯·博斯环形山、东面靠近更大的法布里环形山、黎曼环形山和比尔斯环形山坐落在它的西南，而它的东南壁则掠过了巨大的环壁平原-哈尔赫比环形山的西北边缘[3]。该陨坑中心月面坐标为43°39′N 93°01′E / 43.65°N 93.01°E / 43.65; 93.01，直径44.99公里[4]，深度约2.27公里[1]。

瓦沙基泽陨石坑未受到较大的撞击磨损，坑壁仍保持完整清晰，轮廓基本呈圆形状，东、南二侧略为外突，整体外观稍显倾斜。陨坑内侧壁坡有坍塌的痕迹，尤其是北侧和东南侧，但均显示为一些小的阶地结构。瓦沙基泽陨石坑坑壁高出周边地形1080米[1]，内部容积约有1568公里3[1]。坑底表面大体平缓，只有东半部相对较崎岖。
