洛夫莱斯环形山

洛夫莱斯环形山（Lovelace）是位于月球背面北极地区的一座大撞击坑，约形成于38-32亿年前的晚雨海世[1]，其名称取自美国医生，航天医学专家威廉·伦道夫·洛夫莱斯二世（1907年-1965年），1970年被国际天文学联合会正式接受。

该陨坑西北毗邻巨大的罗日杰斯特文斯基环形山、南面靠近弗勒利希环形山，莱纳德陨石坑及埃尔米特环形山位于它的北面，东北和东面分别坐落了哈伯环形山和西尔维斯特环形山，而它的东南则延伸着笔直的西尔维斯特链坑[3]。

该陨坑中心月面坐标为82°05′N 109°31′W / 82.08°N 109.51°W / 82.08; -109.51，直径57.06公里[4]，深约2.44公里[1]。

洛夫莱斯环形山外观轮廓圆状，坑壁边缘清晰，未见有明显的侵蚀，沿内侧壁残留有阶坡状结构痕迹，其中北侧段较其余部分更狭窄陡峭。该陨坑坑壁最大高出周边地形表面1180米[1]，内部容积约有2714.58立方千米[1]。坑底表面相对平坦，可能已被熔岩重塑，中心点偏南处坐落了一座中央峰。
