波西环形山

波西环形山（Pawsey）是月球背面北半部一座古老的大撞击坑，约形成于39.2-38.5亿年前的酒海纪^[1]，其名称取自二十世纪澳大利亚天文学家"约瑟夫·拉德·波西"(Joseph Lade Pawsey，1908年－1962年)，1970年被国际天文学联合会批准接受。

描述

该陨坑南面与维纳环形山相接壤、西北偏北毗邻德赖斯环形山、更大的坎贝尔环形山位于它的东北偏东、而西面较远处则坐落了布里奇曼环形山^[2]。该陨坑中心月面坐标为44°14′N 145°17′E / 44.24°N 145.29°E / 44.24; 145.29，直径59.98公里^[3]，深度约2.72公里^[1]。

波西环形山外观接近圆状，已严重损毁，部分覆盖了的维纳环形山形成时所抛出的溅射物。沿东北壁重叠着一对圆杯状的小陨坑，而西侧外壁上则坐落了一座撞击坑。该环形山已磨损的坑壁高出周边地形1210米^[1]，内部容积约有3046公里^3[1]。坑内地表凹凸不平，靠西侧内壁底坐落了一座醒目的小碗状坑。
