梅维斯陨石坑

梅维斯陨石坑（Mavis）是位于月球正面雨海西部的一座小撞击坑，其名称取自苏格兰女性名，1976年被国际天文学联合会正式接受。

描述

该陨坑西侧毗邻卡本托陨石坑、北面和东南分别靠近夏尔陨石坑和安妮格列特陨石坑，它的东南偏南矗立着拉西尔山、而东北方则坐落了绵延的齐克尔山脊^[1]。该陨坑中心月面坐标为29°46′N 26°22′W / 29.76°N 26.36°W / 29.76; -26.36，直径1.09公里^[2]，深约0.14公里^[3]。

安妮格列特陨石坑外观呈圆杯状，是一串向北的小链坑中最大的一座，它的坑壁最大高出周边地形40米^[3]，内部容积约0.05立方千米^[3]。其形态特征隶属于“ALC 型”（以该类陨石坑的典型代表——卫星坑“阿尔巴塔尼环形山 C”命名）。
