普渡理工學院

普渡理工學院（英語：Purdue Polytechnic Institute，簡稱Purdue Polytechnic），為普渡大學十所主要學術機構之一，提供學士、碩士、與博士學位。

歷史

• 普渡理工學院原名「普渡大學科技學院」（School of Technology），於1964年2月15日在校內通過提案，同年7月1日正式成立，將原先校內的應用學習課程組織化。^[3]工程教育學系（Industrial Education）、建築與土木工程科技學系（Architectural and Civil Engineering Technology）於創院時即設立^[4][5]。
• 1966年，創立工程管理學系（Industrial Supervision），並於1973年改名為管理系（Supervision）^[4]。
• 1966年，原建築與土木工程科技學系更名為建構科技學系（Construction Technology）^[5]。
• 1978年，電腦與資訊科技學系（Computer and Information Technology）成立^[6]。1983年，工程教育學系更名為工程科技學系（Industrial Technology）^[4]。
• 1990年，管理學系更名為組織領導與管理學系（Organization Leadership and Supervision）^[4]。
• 1996年，建構科技學系（Construction Technology）更名為建構管理學系（Building Construction Management）^[5]。
• 2005年1月，普渡大學科技學院（School of Technology）配合學校組織調整更名為「College of Technology」，中文名稱不變^[3]。
• 2011年，工程科技學系（Industrial Technology）與組織領導與管理學系（Organization Leadership and Supervision）合併為科技領導與創新學系（Technology Leadership and Innovation）。
• 2013年12月，機械工程科技學系（Mechanical Engineering Technology）與電機工程科技學系（Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology）合併為工程科技學系（Engineering Technology）^[7]。
• 2015年5月，為因應高等教育環境的快速變遷與需要，展開學院轉型作業，除增加課堂實作、批判思考、創新與溝通技巧等業界需要的相關課程或工作坊外，亦宣布將原有名稱改名為普渡理工學院（Purdue Polytechnic Institute）^[3]。同年，建構管理學系（Building Construction Management）更名為建構管理科技學系（Construction Management Technology）^[5]。

普渡理工學院現有七個主要學術單位，列表如下：

• 航空與交通科技學系（Aviation and Transportation Technology）
• 建構管理科技學系（Construction Management Technology）
• 電腦圖學科技學系（Computer Graphics Technology）：被選為最佳電腦圖學的教學單位第12名^[8]、最有價值使用者經驗設計的教學單位前50名^[9]。
• 電腦與資訊科技學系（Computer and Information Technology）：被選為最佳網路安全的教學單位第1名^[10]、最佳資訊科技學程第4名^[11]、最佳遊戲設計前50名^[12]。
• 工程科技學系（Engineering Technology）：全美最多工程科技學位授予的教學單位^[13]、工程科技學位授予女性最多的教學單位^[14]。
• 軍事科學與科技學系（Military Science and Technology）
• 科技領導與創新學系（Technology Leadership and Innovation）：與教育學院合辦的科技教育學程，被選為最佳科技教育的教學單位第1名^[15][16]；專案管理課程被選為最佳專案管理線上課程第4名^[17]。

地點

普渡理工學院在普渡大學系統內非常獨特，除位於西拉法葉的旗艦校區之外，亦於印第安納州九個不同地點設有分部，其中多個分部所在的校區不屬於普渡大學系統。各分部的課程大致上與西拉法葉一致，但並非所有的課程都有提供^[18]。九個分部所在地點列表如下：

在西拉法葉的主校區，普渡理工學院的院館為Knoy Hall，是多數教職員工與學生辦公和上課的地方，亦設有諸多實驗室。此外，Michael Golden Laboratories、Young Hall （科技領導與創新學系）、Heavilon Hall、A.A. Potter Engineering Center、Wang Hall、以及普渡大學機場（航空與交通科技學系）也是主要教學與行政區域。

• Melody Birmingham-Byrd：組織領導學學士(1994)，Duke Energy資深副總裁兼採購長^[19]。

教師

• 愛蜜莉亞·艾爾哈特：第一位獨自飛越大西洋的女飛行員。曾於1935年至1937年間擔任訪問顧問，教授飛機飛行。
• 薩賓·布倫瑞克（英语：Sabine Brunswicker）：科技領導與創新學系教授，開放式創新領域知名學者^[20][21]。
• 羅尼·本特利（英语：Lonnie D. Bentley）：電腦與資訊科系學系教授，曾任該系系主任，系統分析與設計領域知名學者^[22]。
