哈格里夫斯陨石坑

哈格里夫斯陨石坑（Hargreaves）是月球正面位于东部赤道区上的一座小撞击坑，其名称取自英国天文学家和验光师弗雷德里克·詹姆斯·哈格里夫斯（英语：Frederick James Hargreaves）（Frederick James Hargreaves，1891年-1970年），1979年被国际天文联合会正式批准接受。

该陨坑位于麦克劳林环形山的西侧，东南毗邻莫利陨石坑；东南偏东靠近玻恩陨石坑。它的西侧则坐落着丰富海 [1]。该陨坑的中心月面坐标为2°11′S 64°05′E / 2.18°S 64.09°E / -2.18; 64.09，直径18公里[2]，深度1.72公里[3]。

哈格里夫斯陨石坑几乎与北面更大的卫星坑麦克劳林 H合成一体，二者的坑底都已被熔岩掩没，其结果，哈格里夫斯陨石坑形成了一座类似露天剧场形状，北侧壁有一宽阔峪口的撞击坑，坑壁平均高出周边地形750米[4]。该陨坑的南侧壁上也有一道明显的峡谷，西侧外壁连接了一座细小的月坑。

该陨坑在1976年被国际天文联合会正式命名前，曾被称作卫星坑麦克劳林 S[5]。
