2022年8月8日，據韓國媒體報導Billlie將於8月底回歸^[1]。8月11日及14日，官方公開兩組海報^[2][3]。

8月16日，官方宣布Billlie將於8月31日以迷你三輯《the Billage of perception: chapter two》回歸^[4]，8月17日，公開預告時程表並宣布主打曲為〈RING ma Bell (what a wonderful world)〉^[5]。

8月18日，釋出專輯預覽圖並開放預購^[6]。

8月18日至23日，公布「MEMORIES & SCENES : B」概念照，8月24日，釋出專輯預告片「THE END OF THE WORLD AND THE AWAKENING」^[7][8]，8月25日，釋出「THE END OF THE WORLD AND THE AWAKENING」和「WARM WELCOME! NEW BILLLIE & LOVERS!」^[9][10]。
