M96星系群

M96星系群 （也稱為獅子I星系群）是位於獅子座內的一個星系群，有8至24個星系，其中包括3個梅西爾天體^[3][4][1][2]。這個星系群是室女座超星系團（本超星系團）的一分子^[5]。

鄰近的集團

獅子座三胞胎包括螺旋星系M65、M66和NGC 3628^[3][1][2]，是鄰近M96星系群的集團^[7]。有些團體認為獅子座三胞胎是M96星系群的一份子^[4][2]，但這兩個星系群可能都是更大集團內的一份子^[7]。
