峨螺科 （学名：Buccinidae ）是新腹足目 之下一個物種非常豐富、分佈範圍極廣的科[2] 峨螺 可以磨碎藤壺 的殼並捕食藤壺。
多元性 编辑 本科共有超過1500個不同物種，當中絕大多數均生活在海洋裡，但有8到10個物種在淡水生活[1]
部分物種有以碳酸鈣 為主的口蓋 。
分類 编辑 根據布歇特和洛克羅伊的腹足類分類 (2005年) ，峨螺科之下簡單可分為六個亞科[4]
峨螺亞科 Buccininae Rafinesque, 1815 Beringiinae Golikov & Starobogatov, 1975 Busyconinae Wade, 1917 (1867) Donovaniinae Casey, 1904 - synonym: Lachesinae L. Bellardi, 1877 (inv.) Pisaniinae Gray, 1857 - synonyms: Photinae Gray, 1857; Pusiostomatidae Iredale, 1940 Siphonaliinae Finlay, 1928 - synonym: Austrosiphonidae Cotton & Godfrey, 1938 WoRMS 過往還列出有第七個亞科Colinae Gray, 1857 ，但未有將相關的Colini族，而是將之保留在峨螺亞科之下[2] ITIS 列出屬於峨螺科的屬，就有48個[3]
