鲍恩环形山

鲍恩陨石坑(Bowen)是位于月球正面海玛斯山脉以南的一座小撞击坑，其名称取自美国天文学家艾拉·斯普拉格·鲍恩(Ira Sprague Bowen，1898年-1973年)，1973年被国际天文学联合会批准接受。

描述

该陨坑位于忧伤湖东南边缘外，西南偏西靠近略小的扬格利陨石坑、稍大的苏尔皮基乌斯·盖路斯陨石坑坐落在它的东北、而东面和南面分别毗邻更大的门纳劳斯陨石坑和曼尼里乌斯陨石坑^[1]。该陨坑中心月面坐标为17°38′N 9°06′E / 17.63°N 9.1°E / 17.63; 9.1，直径8.09公里^[2]，深约1350米^[3]。

如同相似大小的撞击坑一样，贝萨里翁陨石坑外观呈圆杯状，带有一个平坦的坑底，坑壁最大高出周边地形300米^[3]，内部容积约有21.18公里^3[3]。在1973年被国际天文学联合会正式命名前，该陨坑曾被称作卫星坑"曼尼里乌斯 A"(所谓的"卫星坑标记法"：以所靠近的主坑名+字母来命名)。
