里茨环形山

里茨环形山(Ritz)是位于月球正面南半球的一座大撞击坑，其名称取自瑞士理论物理学家和数学家沃尔特·里茨（英语：Walther Ritz）(Walther Ritz，1878年-1909年)，1970年被国际天文学联合会正式批准接受。

该陨坑西北偏北毗邻布隆内尔环形山；东北靠近甘斯基陨石坑；而斯克沃多夫斯卡环形山和斯科尔环形山则分别坐落在它的东南和西南[1]。该陨坑的中心月面坐标为15°22′S 92°23′E / 15.37°S 92.38°E / -15.37; 92.38， 直径53.8公里[2]，深度约2.4[3]。

里茨环形山是一座被严重磨损和侵蚀的撞击坑，其原初形状大部已改变，外侧坑壁现已形成一圈环坑底的不规则山脊。沿坑壁和坑底坐落了大大小小的撞击坑，陨坑东南侧邻近卫星坑"里茨 J"，而东北侧则紧挨着卫星坑"里茨 B"。坑壁平均高出周边地形1130米[4]，内部容积约为2100公里³[4]。碗状的坑底崎岖不平，除散布有许多小陨坑外，无其它典型地貌结构。
