艺术流行

藝術流行（英語：Art pop，或拼成art-pop或artpop）是一種定義鬆散的流行音樂風格，[1]受普普藝術融合高低（英语：Low culture）文化的影響，強調對個人表達的記號、風格和表達的操縱。[6][7]藝術流行藝人們多受到後現代思想、藝術理論以及其他藝術形式的啟發，[6]如時裝、美術、電影和前衛文學。[3][8]他們可能會偏離一般的流行音樂聽眾和搖滾樂的常規，[9]去探索諸如流行音樂作為商業藝術（英语：Commercial art）、技巧和自我概念以及歷史真實性問題等觀念。[6]

始自1960年代中期，英國和美國流行音樂家如布萊恩·威爾森、菲爾·斯佩克特和披頭四樂隊開始將普普藝術運動的想法融入他們的作品中。[1]英國藝術流行音樂家從在藝術學校的學習中汲取靈感，[8]而在美國，這種風格借鑒了流行藝術家安迪·沃荷和附屬樂團地下絲絨，[10]並與民間音樂的創作歌手運動交互影響。[1]1970年代，在大衛·鮑伊和羅西音樂這類主打戲劇性和一次性流行文化（英语：Throw-away society）的華麗搖滾藝人的主導下，藝術流行流派來到了其鼎盛時期。[11]

藝術流行在1970年代末和1980年代通過後龐克、合成器流行以及英國新浪漫（英语：New Romantic）音樂等風格繼續發展，[4][9]衍伸出偏好於舞曲和合成器並拒絕傳統搖滾樂器和結構的藝人。[9] 2010年代出現了新的藝術流行趨勢，如利用視覺藝術的嘻哈藝人和探索當代資本主義和互聯網的敏感性的蒸氣波藝人等。
