白令陸橋

白令陸橋是位於白令海的史前陆桥，連接現今的俄罗斯西伯利亚東岸與美国阿拉斯加半島西岸，曾為亚洲和北美洲生物区系交流的通道^[1][2]，历史上的最大宽度达1000公里，总面积约160万平方公里，相当於加拿大不列颠哥伦比亚省与阿尔伯塔省的总和^[3]。

學術界認為，美洲印第安人的祖先來自亚洲，至多僅有幾千人口，在末次冰盛期從西伯利亞東部抵達白令陸橋，並在距今不到1.65萬年的某個時段進入美洲定居（不晚於1.1萬年前白令陆桥被海水淹沒之時^[4][5]）。

2012年，俄美两国政府宣布了正式建立“白令陸橋遗产跨國共享區域”（英文：Transboundary Area of Shared Beringian Heritage）的计划，该计划将在美国的白令陸橋國家保護區（英语：Bering Land Bridge National Preserve）、克魯森施滕角國家紀念區（英语：Cape Krusenstern National Monument）及俄罗斯的白令國家公園之间建立密切联系^[6]。
