特斯拉陨石坑

特斯拉陨石坑（Tesla）是位于月球背面北半部的一座古老大陨坑，约形成于39.2-38.5亿年前的酒海纪[1]，其名称取自塞尔维亚裔美籍发明家"尼古拉·特斯拉"(1856年-1943年)，1970年被国际天文学联合会正式批准接受。

该陨坑西侧毗邻康托尔环形山、西北靠近赫·乔·威尔斯环形山、贝克勒尔环形山位于它的东北、东南和西南偏南分别坐落了范马南陨石坑和基丁努环形山[3]。

该陨坑中心月面坐标为38°22′N 124°44′E / 38.36°N 124.73°E / 38.36; 124.73，直径41.15公里[4]，深度约2.21公里[1]。

特斯拉陨石坑是一座圆碗状的撞击坑，坑壁已有些磨损，但坑沿仍为清晰、尖峭，内侧壁缓陡不齐，坡面坑洼不平，其中东侧内壁最平缓宽阔，而南侧内壁上则坐落了一对小陨坑。特斯拉陨坑侧壁最大高出周边地形1040米[1]，内部容积约有1276公里3[1]。坑内地表相对平坦，除分布有一些细小的浅坑外，没有其它醒目的地貌结构。
