格林·丹尼爾

格林·埃德蒙·丹尼尔（英語：Glyn Edmund Daniel，1914年4月23日—1986年12月13日）是威尔士科学家和考古学家，曾在剑桥大学任教，專門研究欧洲新石器时代的歷史。他在1958年至1985年间擔任学术期刊《古物》的主編。

生平

丹尼尔的父亲约翰·丹尼尔（John Daniel）是乡村学校校长。^[1]1932年，丹尼爾前往剑桥大学圣约翰学院學習，首先攻讀地理，之後又攻讀考古学和人类学。他以优异的成绩获得了学位^[2]，並且畢業後留在剑桥大学圣约翰学院任教。

第二次世界大战期间，丹尼尔前往皇家空军的航空照片侦察部队工作。1942年，丹尼尔被派往印度。1946年，丹尼尔与露丝·兰霍恩（Ruth Langhorne）结婚。^[3]

战争结束后，丹尼尔回到剑桥大學繼續他的学术生涯。1958年到1985年，他擔任学术期刊《古物》编辑。他的主要研究对象是新石器时代的墓葬。
