查尔斯·克拉克 (植物学家)

查尔斯·克拉克（Charles M. Clarke）是专业从事于猪笼草属食虫植物的植物学家与分类学家。克拉克出生于澳大利亚墨尔本。他获得了墨尔本莫纳什大学（Monash University）的生物学荣誉学位，同时还在新南威尔士阿米代尔的新英格兰大学（University of New England）取得了生态系统管理博士学位。

克拉克第一次到婆罗洲研究猪笼草是在1987年。1989年至1990年，他生活在文莱以研究猪笼草属植物的生态问题。在这两次旅行间，克拉克还曾在昆士兰州的詹姆斯·库克大学（James Cook University）任教生态学和生物统计学，同时还在香港担任园艺顾问。

克拉克现就任于莫纳什大学马来西亚分校。^[1]克拉克已完成了五本关于猪笼草属的著作，其中最重要的是《婆罗洲的猪笼草属植物》（Nepenthes of Borneo）和《苏门答腊岛与西马来西亚的猪笼草》（Nepenthes of Sumatra and Peninsular Malaysia）。

克拉克描述了5个猪笼草属物种，分别为本斯通猪笼草（Nepenthes benstonei）、陈氏猪笼草（Nepenthes chaniana）、泉氏猪笼草（Nepenthes izumiae）、贾桂琳猪笼草（Nepenthes jacquelineae）和坚韧猪笼草（Nepenthes tenax）。
