李福兆

李福兆（英語：Ronald Li Fook Shiu，1929年2月10日－2014年12月27日），前香港交易及結算所主席，1987年10月股災時下令停市四天，引來各方指摘。1990年在任聯交所主席時非法收受利益被判入獄。

生平

早年

李福兆在香港中半山區堅尼地台的李家祖屋出生，為香港名門李佩材家族後人。他是李作元的幼子，亦是李國寶、李國章的叔父。李福兆曾就讀聖保羅男女中學，亦曾在1963年至1967年期間擔任該校的校友會主席^[2]。他在1946年入讀香港大學文學院，翌年到美國維滕貝格大學（英语：Wittenberg University）留學和入讀二年級。後在1950年以優異成績畢業後，到賓夕凡尼亞大學修讀工商管理碩士課程至1951年，並取得^[哪裡？]會計師資格。

交易所

1969年創立遠東交易所，並為首任主席。1986年四會合併，當選為香港聯合交易所主席。1987年10月19日發生黑色星期一世界性股災，觸發1987年香港股災，香港聯交所史無前例宣佈停市四天，成為全世界唯一在股災中停市的股票市場。各界輿論質疑聯交所停市決定的理據，立法局議員李柱銘在立法局會議上要求李福兆辭去聯交所主席職位。^[3]

1987年10月26日傍晚，當聯交所召開記者會解釋停市決定 ，一名澳洲記者質疑停市與李福兆私人利益的關係，該決定是否合法。李福兆勃然大怒，以食指直指向該記者，並一度捲起衣袖、以手敲擊檯面，要求該名記者提供姓名及地址並立即道歉，李福兆說：^[4]

What are you talking about? Look, this is slander, I tell you what. What is your name, and I want my solicitor to take this down. I am going to sue you for this. You've said that I acted against the law, I have committed nothing against the law and you have gone too far. If you don't retract it right now, you are going to get a lawsuit right now. What is your name? I want your name first. I want your name and your address right now. You are alleging that I have infringed the law. You did. Of course, I have not. You said I have. What is your name? You got to give me your name, otherwise you are irresponsible. I am going to give you a writ right now. Give me your name! Come on, come on! Give me your name, right now! Give me your name! Well, then why are you so irresponsible? Why are (How can) journalists [being so] irresponsible? Come on!

中文譯文：

你在說什麼？這是惡意誹謗，我告訴你。講出你的姓名，我要我的律師紀錄下來。我要告你誹謗。你剛才說我違法，但我並沒有做過任何違法的事，你太過分了。如果你不立即收回剛才的話，我會馬上告你。你叫什麼名字？我先要你的姓名。我現在就要你的姓名及地址。你說我觸犯法規。你有說，當然我沒有（犯法）。你說我犯了法。你叫什麼名字？你得告訴我你的名字，否則你就是不負責任。我現在就給你一張告票。告訴我你的名字！快說，快說！立即告訴我你的名字！快說啊！你怎麼可以如此不負責任？身為記者怎可如此不負責任？來啊！

聯交所職員曾勸喻李福兆冷靜不果，其後一眾記者把該名澳洲記者拖離會議室，記者會在喧吵聲中結束。^[4] 1987年底聯交所改選，李福兆只任副主席。1988年1月2日，李福兆被香港廉政公署拘捕，指控李福兆身為聯交所主席時，在審核公司上市過程非法收受新上市公司配售的股份，從中獲利。法院被判罪名成立，入獄四年，1993年出獄。

1994年移居泰國過退休生活，2012年發現患胃癌，^[5] 2014年病逝，終年86歲^[6][7]。

政治立場

1987年香港交易所主席李福兆在電視訪問和國際會議上兩度提出「香港現在是英國殖民地，即將是中國殖民地，藉此身份香港會繼續繁榮」，此論調代表了被統戰的保守派商人的現實主義。^[8][9]由此，「香港將成為新的殖民地」論在學術界流傳。^[10][11]

家庭狀況

李福兆於1951年與妻子勞曉華成婚，二人育有兩子一女，分別是李國麟、李國祥、李志行，馬墉宜是其女婿。
