美国电视连续剧《权力的游戏》的第八季是本剧集的最后一季，由大卫·贝尼奥夫与D·B·威斯改编成为电视剧，于2019年4月14日^[1]至5月19日播出，由HBO有线电视联播网出品。本季正式开拍于2017年11月23日，并于2018年7月份结束。不同于前七季，第八季只有六集。与前季一样，本季的内容并非主要来自喬治·R·R·馬丁的奇幻小说《冰與火之歌》，而是剧集原创内容，但会部分改編乔治·R·R·马丁即将出版的奇幻小说系列《凜冬的寒風》和《春曉的幻夢（英语：A Song of Ice and Fire#A Dream of Spring）》中的内容。

反響

本季的評價在影評人和觀眾中都兩極化。匯總媒體爛番茄在613條評論中獲得67%的評價，平均得分為7.53/10。這是本劇在該網站中評分最低的一季。^[11]Metacritic上，根據12條評論，第八季首映獲得74分（滿分為100分），表明「評價普遍良好」。^[12]

雖然前三集都得到大多數正面反響，但是最後三集「最後的史塔克」、「臨鐘」和「鐵王座」被批評節奏緩慢、劇本急促，以及偏離關鍵人物發展，而最後兩集被描述為「虎頭蛇尾」和「大失所望」。^{[13][14][15][16]}在爛番茄上，「臨鐘」是整個本劇中評價最差的一集，其評分為47％。^[17]

觀眾評價

「最後的史塔克」播出後，在Change.org上開始向HBO發出請願重拍《權力遊戲》第八季，但在「臨鐘」播出後請願才爆紅。^[18][19]該請願將節目統籌大衛·貝尼奥夫和D·B·魏斯稱為「可悲無能」。^[20][21]截至2019年5月23日，請願已累積超過150萬個簽名。請願的創建者表示，他從未期望HBO會重拍本季，僅僅將請願視為「令人沮喪和失望」的意思。但該請願被劇中演員伊薩克·亨普斯特德·懷特（飾演布蘭·史塔克）、雅各布·安德森（飾演灰蟲子）以及蘇菲·特納（飾演珊莎·史塔克）稱作為「荒謬」和「無禮」。^[22][23]
