萬加瑞·馬塔伊（斯瓦希里語：Wangari Muta Maathai，1940年4月1日－2011年9月25日），肯尼亚的社会活动家，2004年诺贝尔和平奖得主，美國匹茲堡大學生物科學碩士。她是绿带运动和非洲减债运动联盟的发起人，曾担任肯尼亚国会议员。

生平

她是东、西非的第一个女博士。1977年发起了一个以妇女和环境为主的绿带运动。

1990年代，她因为反对开发商强占共有土地，被肯尼亚当局监禁和鞭打。但是她通过不懈的努力，在2002年被选为国会议员。另曾任肯尼亚環境及自然資源部副部長。[1]

2011年她因癌病在內羅畢去世，享年71歲。[1]
