方法演技

方法演技，又稱演技方法，是令演員完全融入角色中的表演方式，除了演員本人的性格之外，也要創造角色本身的性格及生活，務求寫實地演繹角色。

方法演技由俄國戲劇大師史坦尼斯拉夫斯基提倡，他十分關注演員的表演方法，並認為演員必須精於觀察事實，揣摩現實生活中的行為，亦應對心理學、語言學有基礎認識，想像出演繹角色的心理狀況、地方特色（例：倫敦人飾演北英人和德州美國人的口音差別），以便演活角色。

應用

許多著名演員，包含曾奪奧斯卡最佳男主角獎的馬龍·白蘭度、艾爾·帕西諾、勞勃·狄尼洛、達斯汀·霍夫曼、克里斯汀·貝爾、傑瑞德，都擅於透過方法演技演繹角色。亞洲人例子包括梁朝偉[1]（曾因劇情需要而接受三年武術訓練）、黃秋生、崔岷植。

壞處

方法演技式演員因為長時間投入在角色裡面，可能導致在現實生活無法跳脫角色而引致憂鬱症、菸酒上癮；為求逼真而改變身形 （例：克里斯汀·貝爾 在2004年出演《迷魂殺陣》前減重27公斤）[2]，會引致厭食症、虛脫、高（低）血壓。如果同時拍攝多部作品，更有可能引致人格分裂。
