奧馬·沙里夫

奧馬·沙里夫（英語：Omar Sharif，阿拉伯语：عمر الشريف‎，1932年4月10日—2015年7月10日），又譯作奧馬·莎李夫，本名米歇尔·德米特里·薛胡布（Michel Demitri Chalhoub），埃及演員。其姓氏「沙里夫」（Sharif）在阿拉伯語裡有著「名貴」的意思。代表作品包含《阿拉伯的勞倫斯》（1962）、《齊瓦哥醫生》（1966），以及《妙女郎（英语：Funny Girl (film)）》（1968）。其演藝成就曾為其博得奥斯卡金像奖提名，並讓他摘下三座金球獎與一座凯撒电影奖。

早期生活

奧馬·沙里夫，1932年4月10日[1]生於埃及亚历山大港[2]，本名米歇爾·德米崔·薛胡布（Michel Demetri Chalhoub）[3]，是具有巴勒斯坦、敘利亞與黎巴嫩血統的默基特希臘禮天主教徒家庭成員[4]。其父约瑟夫·薛胡布（Joseph Chalhoub）生於黎巴嫩，家族靠經營進口木材起家，20世紀初期舉家搬遷到埃及，且就是奧馬出生長大的地方。其母克萊兒·莎達（Claire Saada）則是敘利亞與黎巴嫩後裔[5]。沙里夫青年時期，曾就讀於維多利亞學院（英语：Victoria College, Alexandria），並展現了語言長才；畢業於開羅大學，並擁有數學與物理學學位[5]。1955年，沙里夫改宗伊斯蘭教[6]，以便娶埃及女演員法婷·哈馬瑪（Faten Hamama）為妻[7]。

在开罗大学獲得數學與物理學學位之後[8]，他為父親經營的木材行業短暫工作過，隨後便進入位在倫敦的皇家戏剧艺术学院就讀表演相關科系[8]。

演員生涯

因演出《齊瓦哥醫生》(Doctor Zhivago)聞名全球。1962年演出《阿拉伯的勞倫斯》(Lawrence of Arabia)，獲得金球獎最佳男配角。1966年演出《齊瓦哥醫生》，獲金球獎最佳男主角。2003年演出《陪我走到世界盡頭》，則讓莎李夫獲得凯撒电影奖最佳男主角獎。

合約橋牌生涯

沙里夫曾名列世界前50大合約橋牌玩家，並曾經在伊朗國王面前打過牌[9]。沙里夫也曾與查爾斯·葛倫（英语：Charles Goren）共同為《芝加哥論壇報》寫過好幾年的橋牌專欄[10]，但大多數的寫作之後都轉手給譚納·赫希（Tannah Hirsch）。他也是好幾本橋牌相關書籍的作者與共同作者，甚至授權其名給一個橋牌電視遊戲；更是被选为世界桥牌协会会长，最一開始只在1992年發行了MS-DOS與Amiga版本，《奧馬·沙里夫打橋牌》（Omar Sharif in Bridge）至今也仍在Windows與行動平台版本販售[11]。《電腦遊戲世界》雜誌1992年時曾評論這個遊戲「好上手、難挑戰、設計佳」（easy to get into, challenging to play and well-designed）[12]，並將它列名為當年度最棒的策略遊戲[13]。但1993年，該雜誌指出「這不是一個玩橋牌的好遊戲」，因其文檔不足、玩家無法適應而遭受批評。該雜誌甚至推薦了另外兩款遊戲[14] 。

沙里夫是法國賭場的常客[15]。

私人生活

疾病與死亡

2015年5月，報載沙里夫飽受阿兹海默病所苦，據其子轉述，沙里夫已經開始認不清楚其演藝生涯的幾部代表作品。其子塔里克·沙里夫是沙里夫與前妻法婷·哈馬瑪的獨子，他表示自己父親總把這些電影的名字搞混，甚至忘記《齊瓦哥醫生》、《阿拉伯的勞倫斯》的拍攝地點[16]。

2015年7月10日，因心臟病發，病逝於開羅一家醫院，享壽83歲[17][18]。
