史提芬·范
史提夫·范（英語：Steve Vai，1960年6月6日－）是美國搖滾結他手、作曲家、歌手、製作人、養蜂者及演員。其職業始於1980年為弗蘭克·扎帕編曲，1984年開始其結他事業，至2009年已經發表了14張的個人演奏專輯。除了與弗蘭克·扎帕的合作之外，他也與Alcatrazz、David Lee Roth、Whitesnake等人（樂團）錄製專輯並巡迴。自1996年以來，他經常參與喬·沙翠亞尼的G3演奏。其作品《For the Love of God》在《結他世界》雜誌被讀者投票為一百首最佳結他獨奏中的第29首。史提夫·范與前Vixen貝斯手Pia Maiocco結婚，育有兩個小孩。
生涯
70與80年代
在1974年，史提芬·范向吉他手喬·沙翠亞尼學習吉他，並在很多的當地樂團演奏，其中有一個以他的名字來命名——The Steve Vais。 他被認為受到許多吉他手的影響，包括Jeff Beck及融合爵士吉他手Allan Holdsworth。 藉由進入柏克理音樂學院並且結業，他學到了不少，之後錄了一些作為履歷（afterwards recording a promotional piece for them）在20歲參加弗蘭克·扎帕的試聽。

在1982年離開弗蘭克·扎帕之後，他搬到加州，錄製了他的第一章個人專輯 Flex-Able並且待在兩個樂團表演。 1985年，他取代了Yngwie Malmsteen在 Graham Bonnet的樂團Alcatrazz 的主奏吉他手位置並錄製Disturbing the Peace專輯。後來他加入了 Van Halen前主唱 David Lee Roth的SuperBand錄製Eat 'Em and Smile與Skyscraper兩張專輯，這大大的增加他在搖滾界的能見度，因為Roth在Van Halen的樂團裡的知名度使Vai讓很多評論家拿他來與Eddie Van Halen比較。
在1986年與前 Sex Pistols主唱 John Lydon的 Public Image Ltd樂團專輯「Album」也使大家極為震驚。1989年，加入了 Whitesnake樂團頂替 Vivian Campbell的位置，但是在Adrian Vandenberg弄傷手腕之後，只好讓他來完成 Slip of the Tongue這張專輯主奏及節奏吉他兩部份。他也在 Alice Cooper的專輯 Hey Stoopid中的一首歌Feed my Frankenstein與喬·沙翠亞尼演奏。
自1987年開始，他已經使用他的代言結他Ibanez JEM系列。
90與00年代
他持續進行巡迴，還有與唯一的老師兼朋友喬·沙翠亞尼在G3演出。 David Lee Roth和 Mr. Big BASS手Billy Sheehan也有加入。在1990年，釋出廣為好評的專輯 Passion and Warfare。
歌曲For the Love of God在Guitar World雜誌裡面被讀者投票為一直以來100首最棒的吉他獨奏曲第14名。
在1994年，開始參與Ozzy Osbourne的作曲與錄音工作，但只有一首歌My Little Man在這段時間被收錄於Ozzmosis專輯中，儘管他寫了這首歌，但他卻沒有出現在這張專輯的名單上面。後來他的位置被Zakk Wylde取代。Vai個人樂隊的成員在90年代有鼓手Mike Mangini、吉他手Mike Keneally和貝斯手Phillp Bynoe。在1994年，他因Frank Zappa的Zappa's Univers專輯中的歌曲Sofa而得到葛萊美獎。
2002年的7月，Vai在日本的Suntory Hall與東京交響樂團表演一首由作曲家Ichiro Nodaira所寫名為Fire Strings的電吉他協奏曲。
2004年，Vai在荷蘭與Metropole管弦樂團表演許多首他的作品和管弦編曲版本，包含一些先前的錄音作品，名為The Aching Hunger。 2003年，鼓手 Jeremy Colson加入Vai的樂團，取代先前鼓手Virgil Donati，Sound Theories這張專輯在2007年發行。
2001年12月，推出一張演奏DVD名為Live at the Astoria London，陣容有貝斯手Billy Sheehan、吉他兼鍵盤手Tony MacAlpine，吉他手Dave Weiner與鼓手Virgil Donati。
2005年二月，Vai初次表演一首雙吉他（古典及電吉他）演奏曲，名為The Blossom Suite，與古典吉他手Sharon Isbin在巴黎的Châtelet Theatre 合作。2006年，擔任Frank Zappa的兒子Dweezil Zappa所舉辦的Zappa Plays Zappa這場巡迴中Zappa Band的特別來賓，在歐洲與在美國十月底及冬季時舉行，其他特別來賓有鼓手Terry Bozzio、吉他手兼歌手Ray White以及薩克斯風手兼歌手Napoleon Murphy Brock。
2006年9月21日，在加州好萊塢的Video Games Live演奏會特別演出，與Hollywood Bowl Orchestra演奏了兩首歌，Halo主題曲及Halo 3預告的曲子。
