卡加揚語

卡加揚語分布於菲律賓巴拉望省，屬於南島語系中的馬諾波語群，是該語群中唯一不見於棉蘭老島或其附近島嶼的語言。

卡加揚語分布於以下區域（根據民族語）。

• 巴拉望省: 內格羅斯和巴拉望之間的卡加揚西洛
• 巴拉望沿海社區
• 南巴拉望：巴拉巴克島
• 北巴拉望：布桑加和科倫
• 菲律賓群島其他周邊地區：伊洛伊洛省、內格羅省錫萊、馬尼拉、奎松和黎剎地區

[h] 僅出現在借詞、專有名詞、或與鄰近語言共有的同源詞中。^[3] 不考慮借詞的話，/d/ 在元音之間會變為 [r] 。^[4]

語言比較及歷史證據顯示 /ð̞/ 和 /l/ 在與英语、西班牙语和他加禄语接觸前呈現互補分布。^[5]

/i/ 的實際音值游移於 [i] 和 [e] 之間，除了在非重讀音節（以及複輔音前）會低化為 [ɪ] 或 [ɛ]。^[6] 同樣地， /u/ 非重讀音節、複輔音前後及詞尾位置為低化為 [ʊ]，其他位置則仍為 [u]。^[6]
